It goes without argument that today's Russia is an energy superpower, a major supplier of energy resources, oil, natural gas,and electricity to European and world markets. One of the most important areas of power production -- and the most technologically advanced – isthe nuclear energy sector. There are 10 nuclear power stations in Russia for a total of 23,242 MW, which areall managed by the state-owned Rosenergoatom enterprise. Rosenergoatom is constantly seeking new technological solutions, developing unique floating nuclear power plants, and building power stations in other countries. Rosenergoatom also pays keen attention to its own history, which has long become intertwined with the history of the entire country.

As part of collaboration with Rosenergoatom, Actis Systems developed a virtual atomic energy museum. Historical dates and events, famous scientists and technologies, the past and the modern day – everyone will find something of interest among the many fascinating materials on the history of the country's atomic energy, a story of brilliant inventions and achievements. The museum abounds in interactive animations based on Macromedia Flash technology, while Actis Systems' proprietary WebBuilder system makes the resource easy to support and stable.
